Another Big Day For The Panthers

Tuesday during 4th period, senior Alexis Grubb was the center of attention as she signed to LeTourneau University to continue her soccer career. This marks the 6th signing for the Panthers this year. Grubb was surrounded by friends, family, and coaches alike as she put pen to paper.

“We wish you the best of luck, please know that these people here that support you, they’re always going to be here for you,” Assistant Athletic Director Shawn Copeland said.

It was a big turnout for Grubb as the stands were packed with plenty of support. This support group was headlined by the girls soccer and golf teams. Grubb was a standout athlete for both supports and gained plenty of lifelong relationships with her teammates. This was shown as every member was there today. As well as her teammates coming out, head golf coach Michael Gain had a lot to say about Grubb.

“She put in the hard work, learned how to control herself, and has matured a bunch over this past year,” Head Golf Coach Michael Gain said. “LeTourneau came to me and asked if we had any great representatives of Spring Hill. Alexis was on top of the list.”

All of us here on the Panther’s Press wish Alexis the best of luck with her upcoming adventure, we all know you will do great!
