Brigade is beating the heat and the rain, on August 7 at Lone Star

The Blue Brigade is working to be ready to wow the crowd this Fall under the Friday Night Lights.
Over fifty “fish” marched onto the practice field at camp with nothing more than a few parking lot drills under their belts, but after the leadership of the SLT and the awesome directs of the SHBB these newbies are trained and polished.
The practices began with the open of the UIL Season on August 1 with marching practice in the parking lot outside of the intermediate campus. Sectionals were led by the Senior Leadership Team for individual parts of this military band. Then, the members, along with many parents and directors, loaded the buses and headed to Lone Star Assembly Camp. The camp was packed with learning and fun from sunup to sundown, starting with 6:30 am marching practice and concluding with a culminating competition on drills and skills in the gym, an alternate plan due to unexpected but welcome rain.
