The Spring Hill Pacesetters, under the direction of Andrea Presley, took to the stage last Saturday, April 22 for an afternoon of dance and fun.
Teachers and parents presented each line member to the audience before showtime, where the girls’ accomplishments were recognized and the ladies were able to express gratitude for support from family and community. Spring Hill Alumni Peyton White along with Cheer Captains Rylee Noon and Erin Gregson emceed the event and kept the crowd engaged. Then, the music began and the energy was high until the final curtain fell. The numbers varied from solo lyrical routines and tributes to family to ensemble-themed dances that wowed the crowd. Young pacesetter hopefuls showed off skills learned in the mini-Pacesetter Camp along with Jr High pre-drill team line members. The original line, from 2011, took to the stage and proved they still had the strut. Parents also joined in the fun with a mom dance and a father-daughter dance.
This was a debut show for Ms. Preslie as the director, but her experience on the stage was obvious. The choreography, costuming, and showmanship was second to none.
The Pacesetters will be hosting a parent meeting this Monday for any hopefuls that would like to join this award-winning line next year, followed by the officer and new line member tryouts in early May.
