Good Classic Movie

A Quarantine Top Pic

The ads for “The Bodyguard” make it look like a romance, but actually it’s a study of two lifestyles: of a pop music superstar (Whitney Houston)whose fame and fortune depends on millions of fans, and of a professional bodyguard (Kevin Costner)  who makes his living by protecting her from those fan.In this review I’ll be critiquing the Plot,Cast and Soundtrack.

The Plot is intriguing enough to carry the film through and the romance between Costner and Houston builds steadily and realistically. With some decent action scenes.

“I found the Bodyguard to be an enjoyable movie”Longview Resident Brycee Baker said.

The Cast in the Bodyguard was so remarkable it had all of the right people in it.Everyone played their parts very well.Which really brings the movie together.

“The Cast of The Bodyguard was so amazing they all played their parts perfectly.”Longview Resident Mikayla Lister said.

Houston’s presentation is fortified by the way that Oscar-designated Rachel sings the entirety of the soundtrack’s key tunes on camera, rather than simply having the tunes play over scenes. Without Houston’s amazing voice, the romantic tale is decreased to schmaltzy discourse, zero warmth between the leads, and Farmer’s unexplained fixation on swords and blades. Whether or not you’re a Houston fan, her ability as an artist is the thing that makes the film mostly watchable.

“Houston has a lovely soundtrack in this amazing classic.”Longview Texas Brittany Holland said.

Trust me this is better than you think it is.
The only problem is that the film is a bit too long to do what it has to do. I think the problem is in the early part of the film where all of the pieces are being set in motion, however once it’s all going it’s great.

“This was a really amazing movie I would watch a thousand times.”Houston Resident Kim Bryant said.
