Rested and Ready

Victory on the horizon

Gage Whites looks downfield for an open receiver during Friday, October 18 match against LE

This Friday is a big one for Panther Nation. After a 10-year playoff drought, we see a possible berth on the horizon. With an impressive win over Liberty Eyalu (56-7), posting the first “W” for district play in four years, the boys of fall got themselves potential to advance post district. This Friday’s game against Pleasant Grove (3-0) will be tough, but Panthers are healthy and ready. Malik Cooks will be returning after a shoulder injury and Gage White assures this journalist that his finger will not be an issue.

“We are ready,” Quarterback Gage White said. “We have to take it one game at a time.”

But, the smile on his face showed the hope of the team. These boys are talent and able to execute under the direction of Athletic Director Jonny Louvier.

If Gage White can get the needed protection from his line and get out of the pocket, there will be no stopping them. He is experienced and calm under pressure. With receivers like Zach Henry and Jay Rockwell, this team is turning the Panther slump around.

The kicking team has made the necessary adjustments, and the special teams are converting on the 2 PAT more consistently.

The D is Dynamite, blowing up and breaking up plays for opposing offenses.

The team is there. The talent is there. The spirit is there. The coaching is there. Will you be there? Come out to Pleasant Grove on Friday, November 1, 2019 for 7:30pm kickoff. The short drive guarantees to be worth it.
