“We’ve been working a lot on our hitting and going the other way. It’s about just buying into the process. Spring Hill Panthers Varsity snatched the lead late in the game in a 10-7 victory over Troup on Friday. Spring Hill Panthers Varsity trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Marshall Lipsey singled on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs.
Spring Hill Panthers Varsity was boosted by Lipsey who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Lipsey singled in the second, singled in the fourth, singled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.
Troup got things moving in the first inning. #5 drew a walk, scoring one run.
Logan Avant got the win for Spring Hill Panthers Varsity. He went three innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out one and walking zero. Colin Martin threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Trent Gregson started the game for Spring Hill Panthers Varsity. He lasted three innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five
Spring Hill Panthers Varsity tallied ten hits on the day. Lipsey, Martin, and Ethan Tidwell all managed multiple hits for Spring Hill Panthers Varsity. Lipsey went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Spring Hill Panthers Varsity in hits.
Troup saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. #7, #1, and #15 each racked up multiple hits for Troup.

Panthers hit the road to State on Thursday, May 2 where they will be in Sunnyvale @ 7:00 PM  in the 1st base dugout.
No game Friday.
Saturday we hit the diamond again and play in Kennedale @ 1:00 PM.
Game 3, if necessary, will be 30 minutes after game 2 still in Kennedale.
