Another year has come to an end. 2018 was filled with great ups and bad lows. 2018 will be a year to never forget for some people. However, it’s time to take that first step into the new year. It’s time to resolve the issues of 2018, and look forward to 2019!
I have interviewed, students Ashton Thomas and Christian Gonzales, 9th Grade. And have interviewed journalism teacher Mrs. Blalock. They have great ways and goals for 2019, these could be examples that could even help you have a better year. Not saying we’re all the same person, however most of us have the same beliefs and thoughts on stuff. Listening to other people’s resolution can help you formulate a new year’s goal too.
As I interviewed Mrs. Blalock she answered almost immediately with, “To lose weight.” Now this is a great goal for almost anyone. “I hope to lose a pant size,” Mrs. Blalock added. Anyone can achieve this, all it takes is some work and dedication. Most goals will help you fix something in your life that can help you achieve something better for yourself.
“Fix my truck by New Years,” Ashton Thomas (9th Grade) answered. As I previously stated these goals can fix anything in your life, if you put work into it. These goals, even if it’s for something materialistic, it can lead to great things. “I could drive,” Ashton Thomas added. Not only can these help you, they can help other people around you.
“Have my own car and have a girlfriend,” Christian Gonzales (9th Grade) answered. This goal is not only beneficiary to himself, but could also benefit the other person. Putting these thoughts and ideas in your brain, can help you get towards your goal.
New Year’s goals have been around for ages now. It has been proven that if people actually try and put effort into something, they can achieve it. I strongly believe that people are capable of doing anything they put their mind to. New Years goals are a great stepping stone, and these people I interviewed are capable to achieve their goals. “Just overall have a good year too,” Christian Gonzales, 9th grade, added. 2019 should be a great year of change and happiness.
